San Francisco- Alcatraz

After leaving the Golden Gate Bridge we made a slight miscalculation on our parking and ended up missing the boat for our Alcatraz tour. By three minutes.

But it ended up not being a big deal, because we were able to get on the next boat 20 minutes later.

And this was the same day, can you believe that sky? It cleared up and was beautiful blue skies with white clouds.

Alcatraz Island is a very unique place and if you have a chance to go, take it.

Be sure to take the cellhouse audio tour, it is excellent.

It was on the way back to San Francisco that I got the text that Grandpa probably would not be getting better. That took the breath out of me and lots of time was spent wrestling internally with what I should be doing. It was agreed we should continue with our trip and my family would keep me updated.
